Thoughts from the bread

An old friend used to say that life is like a lottery game. You never get what you want. So why must you pay? Please comment and share your thoughts.

  1. Cyril,
Interesting quote. However, I think you forgot a word in the second sentence...

  2. Cyril,

While I am happy to see you sharing this quote to stimulate discussion, I'm sure we would all like to know what you think about this saying. What does it mean to you? Do you believe it?

Personally, I think that one of the most intriguing things about the lottery is the fact that someone will win - and usually win BIG. However, it is impossible to have a chance of winning without paying for a ticket. As the saying goes, "You have to be in it to win it." So in life, if you do not pay the price for your ticket (hard work, patience, etc), it will be practically impossible to win (succeed).

  3. Mr. Gallo,

My Thoughts on this were that I agree with this quote. Though your response seems reasonable too. Thanks for commenting. Want know who said this? It was on a German T.V., Bernd das brot, show which starred the character(Bernd das brot) on my profile. It was his uncle, Bornhell Brot.

  4. Cyril, Where are you able to watch German TV? Interesting I'm sure. I have read a few German novels, but never seen any TV.
